Serves 6-8

Ingredients:

  • 454g Denny Gold Medal Sausages (remove meat from casing).
  • 1 tbsp of sage seasoning or 6 sage leaves, finely diced.
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced.

For the Pastry

  • 300g puff pastry (homemade or shop-bought).
  • 1 egg (beaten).
  • Pinch of sea salt.
  • Sesame seeds (Optional).

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F/Gas Mark 4.
  2. Remove sausage meat from the casings.
  3. Mix the garlic and sage into the sausage meat.
  4. Roll the pastry into a large rectangle.
  5. Place sausage meat along the edge of the pastry and roll to enclose in the pastry.
  6. Seal the pastry with the beaten egg using a pastry brush.
  7. Press down with the back of a fork to secure the seal.
  8. Score the pastry with the back of a knife.
  9. Cut the rolls into the chunk size of your preference. Brush the outer of the rolls with the remaining beaten egg.
  10. Sprinkle with a pinch of sea salt and sesame seeds (optional).
  11. Place on baking tray lined with parchment paper and bake at 180 for 15 mins until golden.
